Hey, Friend! A quick word on caring for your new scrunchie...
I designed these to be tough—I’m seriously rough on my own! But to keep yours looking fabulous, just follow two simple rules:
-
Don't over-stretch it. Think of it as a gentle hug for your hair, not a tug-of-war rope.
-
When it gets funky, hand wash it cold and air dry it flat. Trust me, this is the secret to a long and happy scrunchie life.
The Golden Rule: Gentle is Best.
-
Wash: Always hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Agitate gently—no twisting or harsh scrubbing.
-
Rinse: Rinse thoroughly in cold water until the water runs clear.
-
Dry: Never wring it out! Instead, press the water out gently between two towels. Then, lay it flat on a dry towel or a drying rack to air dry. This prevents stretching and misshaping.
-
Never: Do not machine wash, machine dry, or use bleach. Heat and agitation can cause shrinkage (especially with wool), felting, or distortion of the crochet stitches.
